1. Call to order at 6:35pm by Senior Warden Juli Kennedy

2. Devotion lead by Juli Kennedy

3. Additions to the Agenda: none

4. Motion made by Mark Goluskin and seconded by Paul Stewart to approve the July 2, 2019 Vestry meeting minutes as presented- motion passed

5. Our Saviour Center Cleaver Clinic Update – Jane Fall

a) Sale is moving along but probably won’t meet the 9/30/19 deadline. Closing date will probably be 10/30/19.

b) Update on Grant writing – still having problems generating large number of grants; what grants have been requested many have been not been awarded to OSC, still awaiting replies on some outstanding grants requests – see attached report

c) Jane is reaching out to past and new donors of OSC for donations

6. Vestry went into Executive Session at 6:46pm following motion made by Patrick Crandall and seconded by Rex Botengan to allow Will Domain and Yuhadhi Sundaramoorthy to remain during the Executive Session – motion passed. Motion made by Patti Beith and seconded by Juli Kennedy to end the Executive Session at 7:00pm – motion passed

7. Motion made by Rex Botengan and seconded by Mark Goluskin to redirect the remaining Rector’s Search funds to the Rector’s moving expenses up to $ 20,000.00. – motion passed

8. Senior Warden’s Report

a) Sunday, August 11, 2019 Forum is to introduce our new Rector, Jeffrey Thornberg, to the congregation- Patti Beith will organize the treats for the occasion

b) Father Bob Honeychurch sent a letter to the Vestry ending his appointment as interim Rector as of August 31, 2019 – Vestry acknowledged Rev. Honeychurch’s letter of resignation

c) Under Vestry leadership the Rectory will be prepared for Rector Thornberg and his family with food in the refrigerator and notes/letters of welcome from the congregation.

d) September 8, 2019 is Rector Thornberg’s first Sunday as well as Our Saviour Day. There will be a joint 10:15 service followed by the Our Saviour Day program booths. Carrie Voris is organizing food for the occasion.

e) Sunday, September 1, 2019 Ed and Debbie Andersen will host a meet and greet for the Thornberg family, Vestry members and spouses and Search committee and family.

9. Junior Wardens’ Report

Patrick Crandall reported

a) Rectory Renovation – the major work is completed. Thanks to Will Dumain for his work on the project. There are still necessary last-minute repairs and more funding is needed to complete the repairs that will be done by the Thornbergs’ arrival 8/30/19. (see attached reports)

b) Motion made by Patti Beith and seconded by Mark Goluskin for the authority to increase in the renovating budget from $125,00 to 145,000 – motion passed

10. Quarterly Financial Reports – presented by Will Dumain and Yuhadhi Sundaramoorthy

a) Endowment Funds -see attached report

b) Our Saviour Center – see attached report

a. OSC Cash Flow Projection included in the report

c) Church of Our Saviour – see attached report

d) A Child Garden School – see attached report

a. Working on the 2019-2020 ACGS budget and will be presented to the Vestry in September 2019

b. Evie Escatiola is planning to retire at the end of the 2019-2020 school year

e) Transitional Housing – see attached report

a. A plan for the secession of operational responsibilities should be developed for Transitional Housing

11. Ministry Liaison Reports

a) Initiative # 1 – see attached report provided by Paul Stewart

b) Initiative # 2 – oral report provided by Mark Goluskin

a. Forums have gone well during the summer with Jonathan Burke presenting an excellent series on alternative lessons

b. Some adult bible studies are starting

c) Initiative # 3 – oral report provided by Rex Botengan

a. A personal hygiene kits for prisoners are being organized as an outreach program

b. The Circles Group is meeting for the first time this year on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at the Rectory for lunch
