Welcome to the Tenth Season: Music for a Season 2017-18
We invite you to become a member of the Friends of Music.
During this season, Our Saviour Choir will present five Evensongs on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. Two concerts, January 21, Former organist, Mark Thallander and pianist, Peter Green will present an organ and piano concert. The second, a concert for flute, voice and organ will be presented with flutists, Rik Noyce & Meg Griffith and counter tenor, Cris Law on March 18. There will be the traditional Advent Lessons and Carols on December 17, the Third Sunday of Advent. Epiphany Eve, Friday, January 5, at 7:30 p.m., will be a Solemn Evensong on the TWELTH NIGHT, with a traditional “party” after, with the “Three Kings Cake”!
All Saints’ Sunday, November 5, at the 10 a.m. liturgy, we will present the Requiem of Gabriel Fauré, with instruments. We will read the names of those who have died this past year and those we remember in our lives.
Other offerings will be The Crucifixion of John Stainer, on Good Friday evening, March 30, at 7:30 p.m., during Holy Week, and for the fifth year, a Solemn Mass on Ascension EVE, Wednesday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m.
Your contributions make this on-going series possible. These events are totally funded through your generous offerings and your gifts to this Friends of Music Series.
Your contributions may be designated as a memorial or in honor of. A notice of these designations will be printed in all programs (unless requested otherwise).
