Vestry Happenings

News from the Vestry as of June 4, 2019

The vestry met tonight. Our transition plans, regarding Fr. Bob’s departure were discussed. As of this writing, we have not been given possible rector names from the Search Committee.  The committee continues to do their work of interviewing candidates and discerning the best possible future rector for the Church of Our Saviour. The Search Committee will give the 3 final candidate names to the Vestry, when they have concluded their work of discernment. The Vestry will then begin their work of discernment to make the call to the next rector.

In the meantime following Fr. Bob’s last Sunday on July 14,  the vestry is confident that Sunday services can be  covered by our current staff and clergy. This is similar to the process we followed when Fr. Gary departed and prior to Fr. Bob’s arrival. The vestry is planning to ask Rev. Marilyn Omernick to provide more pastoral and liturgical guidance during the summer months.

Please continue to pray for the Search Committee and the Vestry as the process for calling a are rector continues.

Remember the Parish BBQ on Saturday June 15!! Sign up with Gabe. I look forward to seeing you there.
