You are Invited to Make Some Joyful Noise!

"Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord" (Psalm 100:1) and You're Invited!

This Sunday, the COS Choir will meet to do just that.  And we invite you to come and join us as we raise our voices to God and welcome our new rector.  What a joyous Sunday it will be.

We are happy to have anyone who wants to sing to come join us at 9:00am in the choir room, and anyone means high school age and up.  There is no prerequisite.  Just show up and we will create our choir for the day.  The music is in order just waiting for you.  We will spend an hour rehearsing, then get vested, and offer up the best of what we have to give.  Why not give it a try?

Alice Rucker will be leading our handbell choir and also playing the organ.  The choir will be singing Benjamin Britten's "Jubilate Deo" for the offertory anthem and Gerald Near's "King of Glory, King of Peace" at communion.

If you can't join us this Sunday, please come be with us on another Sunday.  All you need is a song in your heart.  As it says in the Letter of Paul to Church at Ephesus, "Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord (5:19)"  The rest is just details and God's grace.  What better time than on the celebration of our 152nd year of worshipping together in the San Gabriel Valley - won't you come?

Musically,

Phil Gold
