Letter from the Rector: SEMINARIAN INTERN, TIM HARTLEY

Dear siblings in Christ,

As we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost, I write to you this day to share exciting news for Church of Our Saviour (COS)!

Tim Hartley will be joining the COS staff as a seminarian intern from September 2021 through May 2021. Similar to a diocesan intern (like Kelly Lauer), a seminarian intern is non-stipendiary position (and will not be paid by COS). Nevertheless, one significant difference is that Tim will be in his last year of seminary at Church Divinity School of the Pacific when he is with us. This field placement for Tim is taking place at the end of his formal educational experience and immediately prior to ordination.

In addition to preaching, teaching, and leading liturgy under my direction, Tim will be engaged in a project. Given his experience on the Transitional Housing Board for Jubilee Housing, Tim’s project will be related to supporting Deacon Bill Doulos and his wonderful outreach ministry.

Many of you know Tim from the Wednesday Healing service or from some of his gifts for ministry he has already shared among us. Please join me in officially welcoming Tim to COS!

If you have any questions or comments whatsoever, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Faithfully,

Jeff+
