If you visit our campus during the week, you’ll notice a new face, one you may have seen last Sunday. Henry Anderson is hard to miss — at almost 6’ 2”, he is built like a linebacker. We are thrilled to announce that Henry has joined our COS family in the role of head sexton (church custodian), reporting directly to our new parish administrator, Jane Dillingham. Henry will supervise our assistant sexton, Mario Hernandez, and our housekeeper, Maria Quach. His duties include overseeing the upkeep of church grounds, helping design and execute event set-ups, and coordinating with outside contractors.
Henry comes to us from the nonprofit organization Spiritt Family Services, where he served as the South El Monte center’s facilities specialist. He has also worked in fleet maintenance for the City of Pasadena and in public works for the City of El Monte. He brings a breadth of technical knowledge, having worked in computer repair and cell phone sales.
A native Californian born in Pasadena, Henry resides in South El Monte with his wife, Crystina, and their four children, ranging in age from 4 to 14 years old. Crystina is already part of the COS family – she works at Our Saviour Center’s Dorris Dann Kids Campus in the computer lab! In his spare time, Henry enjoys going to the movies, sports training with his children, and working out. He is an avid soccer fan who zealously supports the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Over the next few weeks, we invite you to please stop by COS and give Henry a warm welcome.
