Lisa Hsu grew up in Taiwan, attended Taiwan Normal University, and taught high school English for 8 years before coming to the U.S. to study school counseling and psychology at California State University, Los Angeles in 1984. After graduation she worked as a school psychologist at Los Angeles Unified School District and retired in 2014 after 26 years of service. Then she was enrolled in the Marriage and Family Enrichment Program at Fuller Seminary, hoping that she would be able to continue to serve the community after retirement.
While living in Taiwan, Lisa believed in polytheism, following her family tradition. She was baptized into Christ in Rosemead in 1986 and has since been active in serving in the choir and other ministries when called.
Lisa is a mother of 2 sons, who currently live and work in Taipei. She has a 2-year-old grandson, who is a sweet darling to her. Lisa and her husband, Eddie Zhang, live in Temple City. Eddie is a retired musician serving the Lord with his musical gift at Alhambra Methodist Church. Both Eddie and Lisa found it blissful and rewarding to serve the Lord and His church.
